Yo yo yo, yo yo yo yo, we got maad cash, we got maad flow.
So, we have this wonderful place that you, yes YOU, want to live in. You might ask, “why would I want to live in your place?” But we would say, “Shut up! Look around you!”
Sorry perhaps that was a bit too much to start with. Actually, gritty funloving lifestyle, 4 a.m. bedtime, two ragamuffins who like board games, and puff inside. Our place is located at the corner of Bernard and Wiseman, a five minute walk from Outremont Metro and the Van Horne bus, and then a ten minute walk to the 80 on Parc or the 129 and the 51 on Cote-St-Catherine. Also served by the Mont Royal night bus. The neighbourhood is obviously a hop, skip, and a jump from downtown, the Plateau, Mile End, etc. yet has that pleasant “somewhat out of the city” feel. For those of you who love parks and tree lined streets, this neighbourhood is for you.
Apartment has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen, one bath with a shower. Rent includes heat, which is incredibly toasty in the winter (you can dry your clothes in an hour on the radiators). We pay electricity and have separate cellphones. We steal our internet.
Zing and pizazz preferred. Eccentrics need apply. We enjoy speaking in accents and occasionally dropping into the third person. Artists and musicians are welcome. Though the people upstairs are old so we can’t really jam out or anything.
We are one 23 male, recent graduate from Concordia’s History and English Lit. programs, one 20 female who does modeling and is aspiring to be an organic fruit farmer in Hawaii. We also have a small dog who is quiet and polite, lest you get into his whiskey. Stay away from the dog’s whiskey, bottom line.
Things we like: Fever Ray, board games, bicycles, your mom, fine literature, rare and exotic gems (who doesn’t?), crisp apples, cold pillows, long walks on the beach at sunset, sleeping, and not sleeping, Hunter S. Thompson, Cool Hand Luke, the original Star Wars films, the PA, power shakes.
